Caprellidae is a family of amphipods commonly known as skeleton shrimps or ghost shrimps. They are quite small but very widely spread in our oceans.

Mating can only occur when the female is between the new and hardened exoskeletons, and after mating, the female will brood the fertilized eggs within her brood pouch which you can see on some of the pics. Follow this link to see a skeleton shrimp giving birth.
